Questions
- What shape does Uber Eats want?
- Uber's own menu API documentation states only the size (320–6,000 px each side), files under 25 MB and the formats (JPG, WEBP, PNG), and no shape. Ratios such as 5:4 circulating online come from third parties and are not confirmed by Uber. Source
- Can I add a garnish for color?
- Yes, as long as the photo is still a true representation of the dish. Once submitted, the item page is locked until the photo is approved; reasons for a rejection show on the item page and come by email. Source
- Does Uber Eats offer a free photo shoot?
- Yes. New restaurant partners get one complimentary professional photo shoot of their menu during onboarding. Source
- Does Uber Eats enhance photos with AI itself?
- Yes. On 31 July 2025 Uber announced AI that improves the lighting, resolution, framing and plating of low-quality menu photos. Source
What third parties say (not confirmed by the platform)
- Photoroom says the ratio must be between 5:4 and 6:4 (5:4 recommended), width 550–10,000 px, height 440–10,000 px, max 10 MB, JPG/PNG/GIF. Source
